tonight my new job: restaurant, desperately-needed-in-the-scene-venue, bar, and offsales front establishment, opens. i’m incredibly excited to work, and to wax enthusiastic to guests. the management CARES about food quality and a creative menu. our meats are all hormone-free and free range, our seafood is oceanwise, our veggies are local, and our cocktails are made with fresh ingredients....

i scored the job i wanted. i keep remembering and feeling like i won the lottery.
